Direct FUE Hair Transplant

Direct FUE hair transplant is an advanced medical procedure that effectively addresses hair loss. The results last a lifetime, offering a natural appearance that instills confidence.

What is a hair transplant?

A hair transplant is a procedure in which a doctor transplants hair to a bald head area. The doctor typically extracts hair follicles from the back or sides of the head and transplants them to the front or top of the head.

What a hair transplant involves

During a hair transplant surgery, hair follicles are extracted from the donor hair area located at the sides and back of the head, specifically the occipital and temporal regions. These follicles are then strategically transplanted to the area affected by hair loss, such as the forehead, middle, and crown areas (known as the recipient area).

How do we determine hair transplant costs?

Hair transplant costs depend on various factors, including:

  • The type of hair transplant (direct FUE, FUE, or FUT)
  • The type of hair loss
  • The sessions needed to achieve the desired result

Seneca Medical Group offers a complimentary hair transplant assessment and consultation. During the face-to-face assessment session, a specialized consultant will determine the type of hair loss, the hair’s quality, density, and the area that will be transplanted. They will then develop a customized hair restoration plan and provide an approximate cost.

Direct FUE hair transplant cost

The cost of a direct FUE hair transplant begins at £2,500 for minor cases and can extend up to £9,000 for more complex procedures. On average, a Direct FUE hair transplant at our clinic costs around £4,000 – £5,500, but this can vary based on individual needs.

By scheduling an in-office consultation at a Seneca Group hair transplant clinic, our experts can provide you with a personalized cost estimate tailored to your unique hair characteristics. Contact us today to schedule an appointment with our consultant and receive a customized treatment plan!

The different techniques of hair transplantation surgery

Direct FUE, FUE, and FUT are the main types of hair transplantation surgery.

  • The Direct FUE Hair Transplant uses an Implanter, which offers precise control over the depth, direction, and angle of implantation, resulting in a more natural and dense look. It also causes less trauma to the scalp, leading to faster recovery times, which makes it arguably a superior choice for many patients.
  • Follicular Unit Transplantation-FUT involves removing a strip of the scalp from the back of the head, which allows for a large number of grafts in a single session but leaves a linear scar on the donor area.
  • FUE involves harvesting individual follicular units from the scalp using reception holes, which reduces scarring but can lead to longer procedure times.

Direct FUE hair transplant

Direct FUE is a minimally invasive hair transplantation procedure that does not involve graft processing or the creation of reception holes before graft placement. Instead, it uses a specialized implant device (Implanter)  to ensure precise control over the direction, depth, and angle of each graft, resulting in a 100% natural outcome. This technique effectively addresses permanent hair loss caused by factors like androgenetic alopecia and female pattern hair loss.

The benefits of Direct FUE hair transplant surgery

Direct FUE hair transplant offers many benefits compared to other hair loss treatments and hair transplant procedures, including:

  • A more natural and dense look
  • Less trauma to the scalp
  • Larger scalp area coverage
  • Shorter recovery period
  • Maximum hair follicle survival rate
  • Fewer potential side effects
  • No stitches or scarring

Steps

DESIGN – EXTRACTION

Personalized design based on medical protocols, facial proportions, needs, and expectations of the patient. The hair follicles are handpicked and extracted one by one from the donor area, using a specially designed disposable tool.

PRESERVATION

Hair follicles are kept at a specific temperature and in a special solution, the Hypothermosol®, which enhances their growth after the implantation. We do not split or cut the grafts. With minimum handling, we achieve maximum growth.

IMPLANTATION

Each hair follicle is implanted directly into the affected area using the Implanter, which has a diameter of 1mm or less, without having to create holes or slits. With the Implanter, doctors can control the depth, direction, and placement angle.
