What is PRP hair treatment for hair loss?

At SENECA we use a new non-invasive hair loss treatment for hair restoration, called Growth Factor Injection Therapy. Serum containing Growth factors is injected into the suffering area to stimulate hair growth and delay further hair loss. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)  is a  safe and natural non-surgical treatment for men and women suffering from hair thinning, hair loss or pattern baldness.
PRP hair restoration encourages the growth of existing hair follicles, making your hair appear fuller and healthier through non-invasive PRP technology.

What is platelet-rich plasma?

Platelet-rich plasma consists of two elements: plasma, or the liquid portion of blood, and platelets, a type of blood cell that plays an important role in healing throughout the body. Platelets are well-known for their clotting abilities, but they also contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue regeneration or healing in the treated area. Platelet-rich plasma is simply blood that contains more platelets than normal.

How PRP injection works ?

PRP hair is a treatment that stimulates your hair follicles, increases blood circulation in the scalp and promotes tissue healing. This unique relies on your own plasma for growing hair, which will stimulate the production of growth factors that leads to cell regeneration. Plasma is a liquid component found in our blood along with platelets, red blood and white blood . Each of these components have different functions in the body. For the PRP hair regeneration treatment, the plasma and platelets in the blood are extracted and collected for the treatment. Both the red blood and white blood will not be needed and are thus discarded. Plasma is needed as it contains ample growth factors, nutrients and bioactive proteins, which helps the regrowth of your and tissue restoration. Platelets are tiny blood that circulate within our blood and bind together when they recognize damage and form blood clots (mesh) to prevent any bleeding and stimulate healing.

Τhe process of PRP hair treatment

PRP therapy injects platelet-rich plasma cells into the affected area of your scalp. Plasma is the liquid part of your blood. Your blood is also made up of platelets, white cells, and red blood cells. Platelets play a role in the clotting of your blood, but they also contain Trusted Source cytokines and proteins that promote growth, healing, and rejuvenation.
